This quaint hotel is close to all the big sights you want to see in Bangkok but tucked away on a quiet street. The rooms have comfortable beds and everything you need for a simple stay in the heart of old town. The only downside to the breakfasts were that they we so amazing and large, I wasn’t hungry enough during the day to enjoy street food as much as I had hoped. The staff was so welcoming and helpful it was hard to leave after a few days. Tip: Be sure and print out the address in Thai as I used it more than once with taxi drivers.

The host and the location are great. Many places in walking distance. Breakfast was also very tasty. Cozy, characteristic place. The shower was also really good.

We wanted to be close to the major tourist attractions such as the Grand Palace and Wat Pho and wanted to avoid the expensive, fancy hotels. We decided to book Neighbor Phuthon after reading the reviews, and we're glad we did. Located about a block off a busy street, the hotel has a real neighborhood feel and is remarkably quiet. We had the family room, which, though not large and very simple, was very clean and comfortable (with the most comfortable bed of our trip). The room has air conditioning, WiFi, and plenty of electrical outlets. Breakfasts are really good—each day brought different Thai breakfast treats that were delicious. The staff are helpful and friendly, and it felt like coming home each day after our explorations. It's about a 15 minute walk to a metro station, and the Grand Palace and Wat Pho are also about a 15 minute walk away. It's easy to catch cheap tuk-tuks and taxis near the hotel. Definitely recommend as a local alternative to the big hotels.

Perfect location walking distance to major tourist destination. Great local food nearby. Getting amazing service especially considering such reasonable price point. You feel looked after and even before you arrive you get timely answers to your questions. It's clear they want you to enjoy your stay. In Thailand service is often great but management at larger hotels can vary. The smaller run family places where the good service is also the management tends to elevate the experience. Don't hesitate to book your stay.
That breakfast! All reviews were talking about it, now we know why - it's more than just a breakfast, you get to try tasty local home made dishes changing every morning. As for the room, I think it is one of the greatest value for our money we've seen. It has all essentials you need and is designed in the most practical way: AC and shower work perfectly (hot water, good pressure), bed is big and comfy, it is clean, you have intimacy. Location is good but in a quiet area. When you ask for laundry they take care of your clothes. The host is nice and caring.
