Great Host and place to stay in Bangkok
The room and common areas are really nicely renovated and decorated. The hotel is located quite close from the most important monuments of Bangkok and the owner is really nice and helpful. He gave us recommendations for the city and ordered us the taxi to get to the airport. The breakfast was fantastic too.

-Lovely little hotel with a wonderful host, Em. He is super helpful and friendly and cooks an amazing breakfast. It’s a quiet area to relax in, but is still walking distance to entertainment, food and shopping. -The only tiny improvement would be if you had loud neighbours the noise would carry, but Em explained very politely to walk quietly on the floorboards to not disturb the guest below and to generally be respectful and quiet… which everyone was so we had a lovely relaxed stay.

He is so helpful for his guests and so approachable that you don't hesitate to ask for anything. Breakfast was fabulous - traditional and authentic thai food. The location is also very good, close to the main attractions in Bangkok. And coffee was the best we've had in Thailand so far :).

We absolutely loved at stay at Neighbor Phuthon. It was in a great location with street food out the front and a delicious little shop selling the best coconut ice cream next door. We were able to walk pretty much everywhere including the MRT station which was great. The highlight though was definitely the breakfast Em provided us every morning. Was seriously some of the best food we’ve had in Thailand, changing it up every morning, it was a foodies heaven and the perfect start to the day. Thankyou so much for having us, can’t wait to be back 🥰

We had a great time at neighbor Phuthon:) Em is the best host one can wish for. He is approachable, super nice and prepares the best breakfast! Everyday he surprised us with another delicious Thai breakfast (all vegan for us😊) and was very thoughtful about it. We are traveling for a while now and haven’t had such a great breakfast experience 😁 the coffee is also very good and Em chooses specialty coffee beans. The hotel is nicely located in the old town and not far away from the main temples or the Royal palace. Bus stations or MRT is in walking distance as are nice restaurants or food stalls. Since the building is quite old (protected historic site) one might hear footsteps or the neighbours talking, so in case one is a bit sensitive to noise, ear plugs are nice to have. We would stay here any time again and it made our Bangkok experience even better. Thanks a lot Em. We hope to see you again and wish you all the best 😊

Our stay here was really special. The guesthouse/ boutique hotel is very beautiful, with unique furniture and well decorated. It was very clean too. The shower was great, beds are comfortable and the breakfast amazing (local food, vegetarian option). Also, Neighbor Phuthon offers nice matcha tee, coffee and some more local drinks. The owner welcomed us perfectly and he honestly took care of us - he was friendly, talkative and very helpful. Last but not least, the area around the hotel is very beautiful. Lots of local food and walking distance from the most famous wats 🙂

This property is more like a bed and breakfast. It’s located on a quiet street just blocks from the Grand Palace. The owner is a very friendly young man who was extremely helpful in recommending places to visit, good restaurants, and other tips to help us navigate the city. The breakfast each day was a pleasant surprise which gave us a chance to try several local dishes. There is also really good street food in the neighborhood. We highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel is very charming, with a lot of wood, great taste overall, and Em's breakfasts are a food tour through Thai Cuisine, he is a great Chef! Also the location and surroundings are just perfect and the bed super comfy.

Super close to the temples. Grand palace and Wat Arun are easily reachable without needing to take taxi. Khaosan road is also 12 minutes by foot. The host was super friendly and attentive. We also had a traditional and delicious Thai breakfast there.

-Das Frühstück war landestypisch, abwechslungsreich und sehr lecker. Die ruhig gelegene Unterkunft liegt in der Nähe des Königspalastes (fußläufig erreichbar). Die Unterkunft wurde vom Besitzer traditionell restauriert und liebevoll ausgestattet. "Em" war ein sehr aufmerksamer, freundlicher Gastgeber! -Einzig ein Kühlschrank auf dem Zimmer wäre noch schön gewesen.

Sweet and comfortable family-run hotel with a neighborhood feel
We wanted to be close to the major tourist attractions such as the Grand Palace and Wat Pho and wanted to avoid the expensive, fancy hotels. We decided to book Neighbor Phuthon after reading the reviews, and we're glad we did. Located about a block off a busy street, the hotel has a real neighborhood feel and is remarkably quiet. We had the family room, which, though not large and very simple, was very clean and comfortable (with the most comfortable bed of our trip). The room has air conditioning, WiFi, and plenty of electrical outlets. Breakfasts are really good—each day brought different Thai breakfast treats that were delicious. The staff are helpful and friendly, and it felt like coming home each day after our explorations. It's about a 15 minute walk to a metro station, and the Grand Palace and Wat Pho are also about a 15 minute walk away. It's easy to catch cheap tuk-tuks and taxis near the hotel. Definitely recommend as a local alternative to the big hotels.

Perfect location walking distance to major tourist destination. Great local food nearby. Getting amazing service especially considering such reasonable price point. You feel looked after and even before you arrive you get timely answers to your questions. It's clear they want you to enjoy your stay. In Thailand service is often great but management at larger hotels can vary. The smaller run family places where the good service is also the management tends to elevate the experience. Don't hesitate to book your stay.

the best part is the free fresh breakfast every morning! the cook buys the ingredients in the morning at the market and changes the menu accordingly! one of the best meals we have had in Thailand. this is worth the stay alone. 🙂 The B&B is in a good location. “M” the manger of the property answered all our questions and helped us to plan our stay. he even showed us some great food places !

We felt welcomed like family, the entire experience was very warm from check in until check out. The location is great, near to many attractions. A special mention has to be made about the food they serve for breakfast, it’s hands down the best food we had in Thailand! So flavourful and delicious and dishes we never saw in any restaurant. Applause to the gentleman running this place, he is the owner, caretaker, receptionist - must be such a stressful job but he is always calm and smiling and ready to help.

The place is walking distance from many highlights and if you’re planning to visit the temples it makes sense to stay nearby for a few days rather than commuting back and forth in the difficult traffic of Bangkok. The room was very clean and the shower was great. The owner is kind and helpful and the Thai breakfast was amazing. We enjoyed our stay.

Si vous aimez les petites structures authentiques, allez y ! Nous avons aimé le bâtiment avec son air colonial, la salle de déjeuner ouverte au RDC sur la rue et la place arborée, la vie du quartier bon enfant avec les joueurs de foot et quelques restaurants de rue. Mais aussi la gentillesse de notre hôte, serviable, souriant, qui a toujours répondu à nos questions avec beaucoup d'amabilité. La cuisine du petit déjeuner est aussi remarquable : vous mangez un vrai repas, et jamais le même, servi avec goût. Ainsi vous découvrez la cuisine Thaïe dès le matin. La chambre familiale (plus spacieuse) est joliment décorée, comme toutes les autres, simplement mais avec goût, très propre et spacieuse, avec une salle d'eau impeccable, la climatisation en parfait état. Nous avons aussi aimé cette volonté de bannir le pastique le plus possible pour tous les produits de toilette, l'eau. Merci pour ce beau séjour à proximité immédiate des grands sites du palais royal et de wat pho. Un petit havre de paix familial au coeur de la ville sans le vacarme de la circulation.

Wie in anderen Bewertungen erwähnt, wird jeden Tag ein anderes asiatisches Frühstück liebevoll vorbereitet und serviert. Der Kaffee ist auch exzellent! Em ist ein wunderbarer Gastgeber - sehr hilfsbereit, er hat viele Tipps betr. Restaurants oder Sightseeing. Uns hat die familiäre und unkomplizierte Atmosphäre sehr gefallen! Wir können das Hotel vorbehaltlos empfehlen, vor allem für Reisende, die nicht nur das Shopping- und Glitzer-Bangkok erleben möchten. -Die Zimmer im Erdgeschoss sind etwas düster. Wir waren im 1. Stock und dort war es perfekt.

Die Unterkunft liegt in der Old Town von Bangkok. Sehr zentral, aber trotzdem ruhig. Em ist so ein netter Host, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden sofort wieder hier übernachten. Das thailändische Frühstück ist jeden Tag abwechslungsreich und super lecker. Auch sehr leckeren Kaffee bereitet er jeden Tag zu. Em gibt sich so viel Mühe, alle Wünsche zu erfüllen und gibt auch viele Tipps, um Bangkok zu erkunden. Bei Fragen steht er jederzeit zur Verfügung. Die Restaurants in der Nachbarschaft sind auch sehr zu empfehlen. Danke Em für die schöne Zeit.

We started our trip in Bangkok with a desire for an authentic and comfortable experience in the city center and we got it above and beyond. If, the owner received us amazingly from the first moment, helped us acclimatize, gave excellent recommendations and provided an answer to everything we needed. The special and delicious breakfasts (unlike anything else we've encountered) were served with coffee, local fruit juice and a smile from ear to ear. On Phuton Street and the surrounding area, there were lots of great stalls and restaurants and there is nothing like them, most importantly the Phuton Bar, which offers food that we didn't get anywhere else in Bangkok. Also, the hotel is located in the city center, close to the temples, walking distance / short drive to all the markets. In short, highly recommend! For anyone looking for a special and authentic experience.

That breakfast! All reviews were talking about it, now we know why - it's more than just a breakfast, you get to try tasty local home made dishes changing every morning. As for the room, I think it is one of the greatest value for our money we've seen. It has all essentials you need and is designed in the most practical way: AC and shower work perfectly (hot water, good pressure), bed is big and comfy, it is clean, you have intimacy. Location is good but in a quiet area. When you ask for laundry they take care of your clothes. The host is nice and caring.

Amazing place with a fantastic little coffee shop. The owner is super nice and every morning he prepares delicious breakfast with so much passion. He even made it vegetarian for us although he wasnt used to that. I would have loved to stay longer.

Honestly the best host I ever met. Fresh and different thai breakfast prepared by the owner (EM) everyday, as well as amazing iced lattes. EM gave us tons of tips and addresses and really looked after us. He eventually became a friend. So this hotel did not feel like a hotel to ud but like home.

The staff was incredibly helpful. The front desk worker, who seemed to be there 24/7, ranks with the best hotel worker I have ever encountered. He was friendly, knowledgeable, helped me figure out the apps I needed to make our experience better, helped me find the hotel links to the best food, etc. We would have never found two Michelin rated street food experiences without him. The hotel itself had lots of character and was very clean, but the room doesn't necessarily wow. Overall great experiece. Oh, and the breakfast was really great!

The three-course breakfast was exceptional, different every day, to our vegetarian specification, and just delicious. So we did not need a food tour. The location was very close to every major sight of Bangkok. The comfortable bed and warm strong shower refreshed us every day. The host/owner helped us with every part of our stay (arranging car, laundry, translating in a restaurant, teaching us how to make Thai tea) and made sure we fell in love with Thailand and Bangkok.

The location in the old town is walking distance to many tourist attractions. Rooms are not fancy but nice, clean, functional and Beds are very comfortable. The young man, M, was wonderful, helped us with places to see, made great breakfast every morning and very helpful with everything we needed.

It’s a very quaint and charming boutique hotel in the heritage quarters of Bangkok. The area is owned by the king and is walkable to most heritage sites around. This place has a home-like comfort with M (the owner) making sure you are well fed and taken care of. The breakfast he makes every morning is nothing short of outstanding. It’s a whole lot of effort he takes to serve up different dishes every morning. We really felt like we were staying with family in this place. Also, the hotel is walking distance from a lot of other eateries frequented by locals . Overall we loved it.

Little gem in the Old Town
Very friendly and helpful staff - very comfortable bed and nice room - hearty breakfast in a very much Thai style (vegetarian diet catered for). Set in a really nice, quiet but interesting square in the Old Town - 10 minutes walk to the Grand Palace, 15 to Banglamphu (backpacker area) and 15 to Sam Yot metro station. It's not the cheapest but we recommend it.
Great place to stay
Being in this hotel is like having a home in Bangkok. The staff is really nice and welcoming, and offers to help with anything you need. The rooms are comfortable, they have a good size (and they even upgraded us to a better room once one was free). The beds are comfortable, you can tell that the mattresses are new. The bathrom has a good size and everything you might need. Also, the air conditioner works perfectly and you can have a good temperature. We had a mosquito in our room (pretty common in thailand) and the staff even offered to spray our room. Apart from that, we had the breakfast included and they were the best we have ever had. They cook the breakfast for you everyday (they ask if you have any food allergy/restriction first) and it's just awesome. We had thai breakfast almost everyday. Besides all of this, the hotel is really close to the royal palace and some temples, which was very nice for us. To sum up, I would strongly recommend this hotel to everybody!

Neighbor Phuthon is in a great location, close to everything you need for a stay in Bangkok. The atmosphere and facilities are perfect and provided a really nice space to relax away from the hustle and bustle whilst still having a good viewpoint for the local area and and all it has to offer. The local area has lots of traditional food and drink options and we were spoilt for choice on where to go! The owner is exceptionally friendly and attentive and really makes sure guests have a great stay with everything they need. Its an absolute must for Bangkok and we will defiantly be back. Em the host was exceptional. We found the rooms to be spotless and the bed was perfect. Early am before he got too busy, he was around to make an Americano, chat, make suggestions. Breakfast was probably some of the best food we had in Bangkok. Hard to believe so much was included for the price. The location is in old Bangkok which is walking distance to the grand palace, temples. We used trains and taxis. Blue line is 0.5 miles away, an easy walk. Took taxi to weekend market and train back. Lots of street food around there; we took taxi to Chinatown which was a truly remarkable place; not for those who do not enjoy crowds, bright lights…. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Perfect location in the heart of a Thai neighborhood. The host Mr. M was the best host we've ever had, and he gave us great info on the area, food, and Thai culture. Walking distance to all the Old Bangkok temples and the Royal Palace. Fantastic little Thai restaurants and street food right outside the door. This small boutique hotel has only seven rooms, a great cafe, and the free breakfasts were excellent. 10 stars. Great for people who want to live simply and be with and get know the Thai people.

Our host Em was lovely, he helped us everyday, was friendly and caring. A special mention for all of his dishes. The bed was confortable and the room clean. The hotel was cute and the neighborhood peaceful. We loved our stay and will definitely come back!
Best place to stay in Bangkok
If you ever go to Bangkok you have to stay at Neighbor Phuthon. I would describe this has a first-rate bed-n-breakfast. Oh, and the breakfast is freaking AMAZING!! The owner "Em" was the greatest host and always happy to assist you with whatever you need. He even took the time to go with us to a local restaurant to help us order. Above and beyond my expectations!! The room a good size with very comfortable and very clean living quarters. Did I mention the amazing breakfast?? There were so many wonderful attractions and temples in this Old Town area of Bangkok within walking distance of the hotel. Highly highly recommend!!

Der Gastgeber war aussergewöhnlich hilfsbereit und freundlich! Er sprach sehr gut englisch. Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und ein Genuss, sehr guter Kaffee! Gute Lage zur Khaosan Road und Tempeln. Das Hotel ist ein altes Teakwood Haus mit viel Charme. Viel Streetfood in unmittelbarer Nähe. Beim nächsten Bankok-Aufenthalt werden wir wieder im Neighbor Phuthon übernachten.

Ci ha aiutato a ritrovare uno zaino lasciato in autobus e ha risposto a tutte le nostre domande su come organizzare il nostro soggiorno. Posizione ottima per girare la cittá antica. -Colonial period house, completely renovated maintaining style. Quiet rooms. Helpful, kind and patient owner. She helped us find a backpack left on the bus and answered all of our questions about how to organize our stay. Great location for visiting the ancient city.

-La struttura è ricavata in una tipica shophouse, si affaccia su una piazzetta molto tranquilla ed è in una posizione comoda per raggiungere a piedi il palazzo reale ed altri luoghi di interesse. L'atmosfera è piacevole e tutto è ben curato. Cambio biancheria e pulizia ogni giorno. La colazione è cucinata espressa ogni mattina e sempre diversa. Per me che sono vegetariana hanno pensato a dei piatti ad hoc ogni mattina, uno più buono dell'altro! La strada principale vicina offre tanto street food e buoni ristorantini locali. Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Le camere sono dotate di aria condizionata. -Nulla da ridire.

Warm welcome, recommendations, Em is a caring and discreet host. Hotel very well located in old Bangkok near temples and Chao Phraya, away from the hustle and bustle here the environment is calm. The rooms are spacious and the bedding is very good. The breakfast (Thai food) changes every day and it is delicious. We stayed for 3 nights and will return with pleasure. Kop khun ka!

This amazing stay
This amazing stay is remarkable for many reasons. The host is incredible, helpful, and wonderful. He made us feel at home and gave us local tips that a big corporate hotel never could replicate. The location was central and walkable to so many sites (tourist sites included) and felt like (and was) a little local-area that was the real people’s Bangkok. The building was a true historic building with its own ambiance and a very chic aesthetic. The food: not only did they make and serve some of the best food I had in Thailand, one of the breakfasts was easily one of the best breakfasts of my life. The food alone makes this amazing local hotel more than worth it. This is not staying in a heartless huge generic hotel, this is staying in a truly special immersive experience full of heart.

This is a gem!
This quaint hotel is close to all the big sights you want to see in Bangkok but tucked away on a quiet street. The rooms have comfortable beds and everything you need for a simple stay in the heart of old town. The only downside to the breakfasts were that they we so amazing and large, I wasn’t hungry enough during the day to enjoy street food as much as I had hoped. The staff was so welcoming and helpful it was hard to leave after a few days. Tip: Be sure and print out the address in Thai as I used it more than once with taxi drivers.

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist super zentral und man erreicht in ein paar Minuten viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß. Die Zimmer waren ordentlich und sauber. Das Frühstück wird einem morgens serviert und jeden Tag gibt es etwas anderes Lokales. Vor allem der Kaffee ist sehr gut! Auch der Gastgeber M ist super lieb und sehr hilfsbereit falls man Fragen hat. ☺️

Ein authentisches thailändisches kleines Hotel mit thailändischem Frühstück. 10/15 Min Laufabstand zum Köningspalast und Khaosan Road. Zimmer einfach, zwecksmässig, da man ja keine Badeferien macht. Der junge Mann, Hotelmanager, ist wirklich eine gute Seele, ich habe noch nie so einen freundlichen und bemühten Hotelfachmann kennengelernt. Er war zu jeder Zeit erreichbar, hat uns im schlimmsten Regen Taxis organisiert und gab wertvolle Tipps.
