Loha Prasat – โลหะปราสาท
Loha Prasat, or Iron Stupa, was built in the reign of King Rama Ill, following Sri Lankan traditions. It was meant to be a place for monks to stay and meditate, but instead was used as a stupa housing Buddha’s relics on the top floor. Even though its name suggests, all 37 spires are made from copper, rather than iron. There is a spiral staircase at the center of Loha Prasat, connecting the six floors.
